Biography

Richard J. Bischoff, PhD, is currently Director of the Marriage and Family Therapy program at UNL. He received his doctorate in 1993 from Purdue University.

Dr. Bischoff's professional expertise is clinical mental health training with an emphasis in training in collaborative health care; couples therapy and family therapy with adolescents. His research interests concern the study of factors influencing the delivery of mental health services in primary care medicine clinics, access to mental health care by traditionally underserved populations (especially rural), and factors contributing to strong marriages and families.
