Biography
Jeanette Harder is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She received her PhD in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2004. Her professional specialties include child abuse prevention, child welfare, domestic violence, support for couples dealing with infertility, social work and spirituality, and program evaluation.
Dr. Harder has participated in various research and program evaluation projects. She is currently conducting several projects through the National Exchange Club Foundation for the Prevention of Child Abuse. In addition, she has completed research and evaluation activities on the Parent Aide program at the Child Abuse Prevention Center in Dallas, Texas; a national Children's Advocacy Center research project; a program review of the Social Work PhD program at the University of Texas at Arlington, the Family Outreach Center of Dallas, Texas; and the River Oaks Can! Academy/Center for Children's Self-Esteem in Fort Worth, Texas. She has also volunteered in a number of settings including domestic violence, people with disabilities, and eldercare.
