Biography
Marjorie J. Kostelnik, PhD, is Dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences, University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She received her doctorate from Pennsylvania State Univeristy in 1978. An early childhood educator by training, her areas of teaching and scholarship include child socialization and developmentally appropriate practices with young children. Most recently, Dr. Kostelnik completed work on the Lansing Ready to Succeed Initiative, a year-long community coalition building project for the city of Lansing, Michigan. In addition, she spent 5 years working with the Wexford Community School Project, a collaboration among Michigan State University, the Lansing Public Schools, and the Wexford neighborhood.
