Biography

Kathleen Lodl is an Extension Specialist in 4-H Youth Development. Her work focuses on developing a seamless approach to youth and family programming. Her specific responsibilites include workforce development, character education, and developing partnerships to better meet the needs of Nebraska's young people.

Her reserach focuses on how best to apply research constructs to real-life situations. For example, she has worked with graduate students in using an action research model to develop on-line volunteer training programs and on-line 4-H curriculum for youth. She has also conducted several evaluation studies that looked at not only the outcomes of a particular project, but the process and how it has impacted those outcomes.
