Biography
Dr. Soliz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at the Universtiy of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received his PhD from the University of Kansas in August 2004.
His research and teaching interests are in family and interpersonal communication with an emphasis on intergenerational interactions and relationships, intergroup and intercultural dynamics within the family, social support in the family, group differences in supportive interactions, and communication and intergroup prejudice. Recent research has focused on grandparent-grandchild relationships. Dr. Soliz teaches undergraduate courses in family communication and research methods as well as a graduate course in quantitative research.
