Faculty affiliates earn professorships, teaching awards

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has awarded professorships to three CYFS faculty affiliates:

Martha Mamo was named Aaron Douglas/John E. Weaver Professor of Agronomy and Horticulture. The professorship recognizes faculty members with the rank of full professor who demonstrate sustained levels of teaching excellence and national visibility for instructional activities and/or practice.

Kathleen Rudasill was named Susan J. Rosowski Associate Professor of Educational Psychology. The professorship recognizes faculty at the associate professor level for their contributions in research or teaching who show exceptional promise for future excellence and have achieved distinguished records of scholarship or creative activity.

Kimberly Tyler was named Willa Cather Professor of Sociology. The professorship recognizes faculty members with the rank of full professor who have established exceptional records of distinguished scholarship or creative activity.

Four CYFS faculty affiliates have earned a 2016 College Distinguished Teaching Award, which recognizes consistent excellence in teaching:

Edward Daly, professor of educational psychology

Jody Koenig Kellas, associate professor of communication

Scott Napolitano, assistant professor of practice of educational psychology

Jordan Soliz, associate professor of communication

Recipients of professorships and teaching awards will be recognized at the UNL Honors Convocation on April 24.
