The National Center for Special Education Research (NCSER) will not hold competitions in 2014

The institute's National Center for Special Education Research will not hold competitions for FY 2014. The director intends to use the grant slates developed in FY 2013 for the Special Education Research Grants program and the Accelerating the Academic Achievement of Students with Learning Disabilities Research Initiative to make new grant awards in FY 2014. The director has taken this action because significant numbers of high-quality applications remain on the FY 2013 grant slates, and because limited funding will be available for new grant awards in FY 2014. Grantees in FY 2014 will be selected from the existing slates of applicants developed during the FY 2013 competitions. It is expected that there will be 13 grant awards across the two NCSER competitions in FY 2013.

IES Announces New Series of Webinars on Funding Opportunities

From May through July, the Institute of Education Sciences will host a series of webinars related to research funding opportunities. These webinars will focus on a wide range of topics for applicants to the FY 2014 grant programs, including the application process, grant writing and specific funding opportunities.
