Elizabeth Tipton, associate professor of statistics at Northwestern University, leads the Nebraska Academy for Methodology, Analytics and Psychometrics’ Fall 2021 Methodology Workshop.Workshop 1 — “The Generalizer: A Free Tool to Help You Design Sample Recruitment Plans” — provides an overview of the methods behind the Generalizer and an introduction to the tool itself. For those conducting studies in environments other than schools, there is also an R software package with more flexibility, which is also introduced.
